Fatty Boom Boom music video analysis

Die Antwoord - Fatty Boom Boom

Although, in my opinion the 'I fink u freeky' video by Die Antwoord is artistically superior to 'Fatty Boom Boom' and my particular favourite ,  I've chosen this one because it ridicules mainstream music videos by taking a Lady Ga Ga figure and subjecting her to the harsh realities of life in South Africa.
A reminder and an inspiration to me not to be too conformist in my approach to my video.
The costumes used are very eye catching and controversial which is another reason why this music video is so popular. They're are 3 different sets being used in this music video: the street corner, graffiti back ground which has 10 headed monster with mainstream artists such as Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Lady gaga and Pitbull, this is just taking a stab at the quality of mainstream music and how the music business is more manufactured, the final set is a dark set where instead of the woman singer has a dark face she has a pale white face, so all in all the sets correspond with the costumes used.
