lalala music video analysis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O1_3zBUKM8

lalala- good use of slow motion shots in this video inspires me, this technique is carried our through out the video. It also takes the concepts of wizard of oz. a dog, a tin man and a scare crow. I researched a bit into this video and its based in Bolivia, an interesting point which i did not know about before hand was during the end seen it relates to the mines in Bolivia in which devil worshipers used to go apparently.

The recording artist, Naughty Boy's style could be described as laid back drum and base, the song is catchy with a memorable 'sing-along' hook.
It has had over 40 million youtube views in 3 months. This down to a quality music video and a good collaboration of artists who have both changed their style of music to compliment each others
The song is strong enough on its own but matched with a high class mini movie takes it a high level of audience across the board of age and gender.

The narrative of the story is a mix between 'The Wizard of Oz' and bolivian culture.

The costume design and styling are very good with a tin man dressed in silver clothing and a lot of jewelery and the traffic warden takes on the character of the scare crow. The clothes blend in with bolivian culture well.

A good range of shots and locations are used ranging from exotic locations to a vast city life including attractive women practising a dance routine in the local gym. This can be seen as stereo typical sexualised woman which you so often come across in music videos be it rap or drum and bass.

A large number of camera shots are used from location shots to close up shots.
